American Idol 2012 ‘Top 5 Performance’ Recap 5/2/12
This week the American Idol Top 5 are taking on British songs and music from the sixties. Our Top 5 will take the stage and sing 2 songs.
On last week’s show Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone were in the bottom two and Elise Testone was sent home. If you missed the show you can read our full and detailed recap here. If you missed any of the performances from last week you can see them here.
On tonight’s show it is British Week and the remaining 5 contestants will sing two songs one from British origins and another from the 60s. Tonight there will also be group performances, one duet and one trio.

Judges Comments: Standing ovation from all the judges!. Randy gives a shout-out to Robin Gibb and says that performance was what it was all about and that Joshua’s one of the best singers ever on the show. “It’s been years since we’ve seen somebody like this,” J-Lo says, calling Joshua one of the best singers of the past 50 years. Steven: loves it and agrees with the other judges
On “American Idol” tonight, it’s British night, so the top six will be paying homage Brit Pop and the sixties. On last week’s show, we said goodbye to another fan favorite Elise Testone as she was eliminated from the singing competition.
