Red Sox, Yankees Fans Fight In Stands During Yankees-Tigers Game
In the middle of the first of three games between the Yankees and Tigers at Yankee Stadium on Friday, an ugly scene took place in the stands when a fight broke out between a couple of female Boston fans and some New Yorkers.
In the clip above, two Red Sox fans get engaged in a shouting match with a section of Yankees fans (section 328 according to the YouTube description). The situation escalated when one of the Boston girls approached the Yankees fans and appeared to throw a punch. Beer was thrown and then it suddenly took a turn for the worse when one of the Boston fans was kicked and tumbled down the steps.
As you’ll see, it seems everyone was drinking. David says this is Section 328, which means this isn’t the heavy rollers, yet these broads can easily drop some cash on draft beers. Ever see a kick to the face in a baseball fan fight? Now you have. Climax of Video: Um, easily 400,000 pageviews by Monday night. Wait until this one gets passed around to Yankees fans around the world.

White House Correspondents Dinner 2012
Cheered by Hollywood stars, President Barack Obama lampooned Mitt Romney's wealth and mimed a shaggy dog story about his foe, striking a rare light note in the bitter White House race.
Obama used an annual star-studded dinner with White House correspondents and Hollywood A-listers, which presidents use to rip their rivals, to take a few gentle shots at Romney, before the two rivals face off for the presidency.
He riffed off the hit movie the "Hunger Games" to poke Romney's hard bore Republican primary approach which he said saw "wealthy sponsors" brutally savage each other until only one contestant is left standing.
I'm sure this was a great change of pace for him," Obama joked before a crowd of 2,000 journalists and celebrities.Said Kimmel: “When I think ‘Mitt Romney,’ I don’t think Etch a Sketch — I think of Twister. You can’t even play Monopoly with him, because he keeps putting the dog on the car.”Off the dais, elites mingled with elites. Kate Hudson was next to former secretary of state Colin Powell and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Sofia Vergara of “Modern Family” and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) cracked each other up and posed for photos together. When the dessert course arrived, Vergara ate half her mousse. Christie cleaned his plate. And he took aim at Sarah Palin, mocking her famous line from the 2008 convention as well as Republican criticism of him for eating dog meat while a boy in Indonesia. “What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull?” Mr. Obama asked. “A pit bull is delicious.” (Even Michelle Obama looked askance at that one.)
He took a jab at Congress, thanking lawmakers who “took a break from their exhausting schedule of not passing any laws to be here tonight.” He teased Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who was photographed dancing and drinking a beer at a club during a visit to Colombia. “She won’t stop drunk-texting me from Cartagena,” the president said.
And of course, he ribbed his own security detail after the prostitution scandal involving the Secret Service on that same trip to Colombia, declaring that he had to leave early because “I have to get the Secret Service home in time for their new curfew.”
Mr. Kimmel also went after the Secret Service during his routine. “I do have a lot of jokes about the Secret Service,” he said. “You know, I told them for $800 I wouldn’t tell them, but they only offered 30.” Matt Apuzzo, Adam Goldman, Eileen Sullivan and Chris Hawley of The Associated Press, for winning the Edgar A. Poe Award for their stories about the New York City Police Department's widespread surveillance of Muslims after the Sept. 11 terror attacks. It's the fourth major prize for the series, which has also won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting, the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting and a George Polk Award.
ABC's Jake Tapper and Politico's Glenn Thrush, Carrie Budoff Brown, Manu Raju and John Bresnahan, for winning the Merriman Smith Award for excellence in presidential coverage under pressure. Tapper won in the broadcast category for breaking the news that rating agency Standard & Poor's was on the verge of downgrading the federal government's triple-A credit rating because of concerns over political gridlock in Washington. In the print category, Thrush, Budoff Brown, Raju and Bresnahan of Politico won for their report on the deal between Obama and congressional Republicans to raise the U.S. debt ceiling.
Scott Wilson, of The Washington Post, for winning the Aldo Beckman award. Wilson was recognized for his "deeply reported and nuanced stories, his evocative writing and his clear presentation of complex issues, particularly on the foreign policy front."

White Sox Pitcher Sets Down 27 Straight Mariners In Win
Philip Humber has tossed a perfect game as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Seattle Mariners, 4-0, on Saturday at Safeco Field.
The 29-year-old right-hander needed just 80 pitches to get through eight innings, throwing 57 strikes as he sat down the first 24 batters to step in against him. With Humber one out away from pulling it off, pinch-hitter Brendan Ryan went to a 3-2, count, fouled off a pitch, then struck out on a checked swing that he vehemently argued. Catcher A.J. Pierzynski was forced to retrieve the ball and throw to first for the 27th out.
It was Humber's ninth strikeout of the game and game on his 97th pitch.
Humber went 3-0 on Michael Saunders, the first hitter of the ninth inning. He came back to strike Saunders out swinging for his eighth strikeout. John Jaso flied to right for the second out of the ninth.
“I mean, I can’t even put it into words,” Humber told Fox afterward. “I’m just so happy. There are so many good things happening right now. This just adds to the list. God is so good.”
Humber dedicated the performance to his wife Kristan.
Teammate Alexei Ramirez gave Humber a Gatorade bath during the Fox interview.
Humber accounted for the 27 outs with nine strikeouts, five groundouts and 13 flyouts. Less than a year later, he become a most unlikely part of baseball history. And for the second consecutive season, a pitcher coming off Tommy John surgery has thrown at least a no-hitter. The Twins' Francisco Liriano, who had the surgery in 2006, threw a no-hitter in 2011.
Humber's was baseball's first no-hitter of 2012 and the third in history against Seattle. Mark Langston and Mike Witt of California combined on one in 1990, and Dwight Gooden of the New York Yankees blanked the M's in 1996.

Cleveland's Rock Hall welcomes new class
The rowdy celebration, which in past years has included awkward moments, touching tributes and unforgettable performances, rocked on without Rose, the Guns N' Roses frontman who may one day regret skipping a night when 6,000 fans, 1,400 guests and many of music's biggest stars partied in Public Hall with the class of 2012.
Hard rockers Guns N' Roses — minus Rose — headlined this year's eclectic group of inductees. Others being enshrined are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Beastie Boys, folk icon Donovan, late singer-songwriter Laura Nyro and British bands the Small Faces and Faces.
Before the ceremony started with a blistering performance by Green Day, Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis said it was strange to be enshrined while on tour.
"We're going somewhere," Kiedis said. "How can we stop and take an award when really we're just halfway there? But it is nice to be together with people that we spent some incredible years along the way writing songs and playing shows in little theaters and sweaty little transvestite clubs and having the time of our lives.
As the ceremony approached, fans gathered on the sidewalks outside the historic venue, which hosted the Beatles in 1964, for a peek at some of rock's royalty.
Alice Cooper was the fan favorite on the red carpet, signing autographs, telling printable stories and waving in response to cheers of "Alice, Alice!"
"New York is glitz, Cleveland is the nuts and bolts," said Cooper, comparing the cities that share the rock hall induction ceremonies, which are held at New York's Waldorf-Astoria and come to Cleveland every third year.
Funk icon George Clinton made a splashy entrance, arriving in a silver bullet-shaped vehicle familiar to amusement park thrill riders. Wearing a gray herringbone coat and black fedora, he stood and waved from the back seat. The influential Nyro, who died in 1997, never reached commercial success but wrote hits for other artists. She was inducted by singer Bette Midler, who called the New York songstress "one of my favorite artists."
"I loved her the moment I dropped the needle on the vinyl," Midler said. "She influenced so many musicians. She was the very essence of New York City. Not in the gritty real sense, but in the passionate, romantic, ethereal, eternal sense."
Carole King inducted late rock promoter Don Kirchner, who helped launch the careers of Prince and the Eagles.
Smokey Robinson inducted long-deserving backup bands for early rock artists. The groups included Buddy Holly's The Crickets, James Brown's The Famous Flames, Bill Hailey's The Comets and Robinson's The Miracles.

David Krejci crushed by pane of arena glass during Bruins’ OT goal celebration
When Chris Kelly beat Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby to give the Boston Bruins a Game 1 overtime victory on Thursday night, there was much rejoicing. And what better way for fans to celebrate than by banging on the arena glass as the B's mobbed Kelly in the corner of the rink?As the Bruins players huddled up after Chris Kelly's sudden-death goal, the Boston fans were a little too excited and actually knocked loose one of the panes of glass encircling the ice. Unfortunately for Bruins center David Krejci, the glass fell directly on top of him and slammed him to the ice.
Krejci slowly got back to his feet, but he didn't participate in practice on Friday morning. Video of the accident shows a fan wearing either a Nathan Horton or Tyler Seguin jersey and holding a gold rally towel walk over and give one last push to send the pane crashing on top of Krejci as he fell onto the ice face first.
After Chris Kelly scores the game winning goal in overtime for the quarter-final matchup between the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals, the celebration between the Bruins gets intensified by wild fans.

Cristiano Ronaldo Hat Trick
Cristiano Ronaldo broke the 50-goal mark this season after recording a hat trick in Real Madrid's Primera Division clash against Atletico at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday night.

Jose Mourinho's assistant, Aitor Karanka, faced the press afterwards and credited the whole team on the winning performance.
"Ronaldo obviously had a spectacular game, but all the team have shown great character and played well, especially when Atletico levelled the game and had the crowd behind them," he said. Romero grabbed a second-minute opener before he was dismissed shortly before the break for violent conduct.
Despite being a man down, Alexandre Geijo doubled the home side's lead in the second half before Fernando Llorente pulled one back for Athletic nine minutes before the end.
Markel Susaeta then levelled the scores for the visitors in the 89th minute.

h making the first regular-season start of his career in the majors, Rangers Ballpark in Arlington was pulsing with the energy befitting a playoff game on Monday night. Among the 42,003 fans in attendance, there were two in particular who managed to grab the spotlight -- even if only briefly -- from Darvish and the reigning American League champion Texas Rangers.
17 year-old Rangers fan Trent Williams has become very good at catching home run balls and drawing attention to himself in the process. Williams catches a Josh Hamilton homer and does the sprinkler dance, while Kevin Negandhi reads the SportsCenter Highlight and flashes back to William's other catches.

Yu Darvish wins MLB debut in Rangers' 11-5 win over Ms
ARLINGTON, Texas - Yu Darvish overcome a rocky start and got a big boost from the powerful Texas lineup, winning his much-anticipated major league debut in the Rangers' 11-5 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Monday night.
After giving up four runs while throwing 42 pitches in the first inning, then allowing another run in the second, Darvish (1-0) settled down and later retired 10 in a row while pitching into the sixth.Yu Darvish had a feeling of calmness when he took the mound for his much-anticipated major league debut for the Texas Rangers
"It was pretty much a battle all night," Darvish said. "Just knowing my offence, if I could string those zeroes together, they would answer for me."
Nelson Cruz hit a three-run homer in the third for Texas to tie the game at 5, then Mitch Moreland and Josh Hamilton both went deep in the fourth to give Darvish an 8-5 lead.
Ian Kinsler added a three-run blast in the eighth, his second of the season, then said after the game that he has agreed to a new $75 million, five-year contract. That deal is pending a physical and would start next season, replacing a $10 million option the team had for 2013.
Cruz, the ALCS MVP last October, got his first homer of the season when he pulled a liner into the left-field seats right after Hamilton was called out at home trying to score on Young's grounder.
Hamilton argued briefly with home plate umpire Paul Nauert, and replays showed that the slugger might have slid around catcher Olivo's tag.
There was no doubt about Hamilton scoring in the fourth, his second homer of the season a solo shot over the center-field wall off rookie right-hander Erasmo Ramirez.
That was the only run allowed in three innings by Ramirez in his major league debut.
Notes: Ogando, a 13-game winner and All-Star as a starter last season, went 1 1/3 innings. He has appeared in three of four games, with 3 1/3 scoreless innings. ... Neftali Feliz, the Rangers' closer-turned-starter, makes his first start Tuesday night against Seattle. He faces right-hander Blake Beaven, the former top prospect for the Rangers who was traded to Seattle two seasons ago in the Cliff Lee deal.
