When Chris Kelly beat Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby to give the Boston Bruins a Game 1 overtime victory on Thursday night, there was much rejoicing. And what better way for fans to celebrate than by banging on the arena glass as the B's mobbed Kelly in the corner of the rink?As the Bruins players huddled up after Chris Kelly's sudden-death goal, the Boston fans were a little too excited and actually knocked loose one of the panes of glass encircling the ice. Unfortunately for Bruins center David Krejci, the glass fell directly on top of him and slammed him to the ice.
Krejci slowly got back to his feet, but he didn't participate in practice on Friday morning. Video of the accident shows a fan wearing either a Nathan Horton or Tyler Seguin jersey and holding a gold rally towel walk over and give one last push to send the pane crashing on top of Krejci as he fell onto the ice face first.
After Chris Kelly scores the game winning goal in overtime for the quarter-final matchup between the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals, the celebration between the Bruins gets intensified by wild fans.
